A survey sent into prison in 2016 inquiring about Prop 57 was the beginning of Adam Cain’s involvement with Initiate Justice. In 2018, he became an Inside Organizer, in addition to facilitating various self-help groups, mentoring others and pursuing a higher education. He was able to return home early, in 2020, through the work of Prop 57, and immediately continued his advocacy work. After graduating from the Institute of Impacted Leaders in Spring of 2021, Adam joined Initiate Justice’s staff to continue his work with Inside Organizers. Adam is impacted by 14 years of incarceration.
